VOWSA is a volunteer run not-for-profit organization benefiting the BC Special Olympics and the Vancouver Lifeguard Association. We are always eager to have people involved in helping put together a season. VOWSA presents an excellent opportunity to benefit the local community through the promotion of open water swimming.

The VOWSA executive committee is responsible for planning and running the VOWSA open water swim season. Several directors and coordinators are needed to put together a season.

Positions for the season are available – to learn more contact a current director to get an idea of how the organization is managed. The Annual General Meeting is a great opportunity to learn more about VOWSA. Please check our website for notice of the AGM date and time. The previous season pass holders are eligible to vote. Our meetings are held approximately once a month. Please contact a director for specific dates and location.

If you would like to work with us to make open water swimming happen for people please take a look at our full list of positions and contact the VOWSA Volunteer Coordinator at volunteercord “at” vowsa.bc.ca
